The Red Devils were heavily linked with a move for the Brazilian centre-back throughout the summer, however, the player has now decided to extend his stay in Turin by signing a new contract that will be valid until June 30, 2029, the club confirmed on Monday. The new deal will also include a €60m (£51m) release clause.

United had roped in young French defender Leny Yoro from Lille earlier this summer, however, the teenager broke his metatarsal in only his second appearance for the club against Arsenal in the pre-season which ruled him out for at least three months.

WHAT GLEISON BREMER SAID
The 27-year-old had earlier hinted that he would consider staying back in the Serie A as he had told Fabrizio Romano last month, "I’m already at a top club, I’m already at Juventus. We’ll make great things next season, Thiago Motta is an excellent manager and a very good choice."
